West Oxford Owl for May 22, 2026

Happy last day of school everyone! It was a big week where students read to younger students or wrapped up projects where they designed amusement parks. Silly string and colored powder decorated teachers as students celebrated meeting goals. Parents packed the gym for awards assemblies. On Thursday, students selected ten books to take home for Books on Break that came home in a green drawstring bag. We hope you enjoy them! We celebrated student growth with a parade and lots of cheering as we walked the playground during a break in the rain. Hannah Sidney, 2026 Webb graduate and West Oxford alum, shared tips for success in secondary school at our fifth grade promotion event.

All students enrolling in kindergarten can do so online here or come by the office for an enrollment packet.

All students are invited to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge. Students in grades K–5 are encouraged to read 500 minutes over the summer. Information about the program came home in the Books on Break bag.

Keep your eyes open for the Book bus schedule. They will come to a wide array of sites and distribute new free books all summer, along with a snack. Come see us there!

We have loved working with your child this year. It is a joy to watch them grow! Have a safe and wonderful summer!
