West Oxford Owl for August 3, 2025

Teachers return on Monday, and we are excited to start the year with you and your kids! Teachers will be busy preparing classes and training. Open house is on August 7th from 4:00-7:00. Come out to meet your child's teacher, get transportation information, and pick up dinner from the Tacos Al Vaquero food truck. We can't wait to see you!

We are excited for you to see several significant updates to campus. We have installed fencing around the entire perimeter of the playground to enhance our security. We created a cozy reading space in our new outdoor hammock house. Additionally, classrooms in D building got a facelift this summer with new paint. We are hoping to see the remaining classrooms painted soon!

The school supply list is available here.

We are transitioning to Parent Square for all communication. You can download the app to receive regular updates and message with teachers.

The first day of school is August 11th! Doors open at 7:20 and class starts at 7:45. Dismissal is at 2:55. Parents are welcome to walk their students to class on the first day. Please park on the Ivey Day side if you are walking your child in. Please drop off only on the Roxboro Road side. This ensures that students stay safe. You are welcome to pick up on either side, but please do not exit your vehicle. We will load your child in the car. We will not call students to be picked up early after 2:25. Please make sure your child's teacher knows how they will be going home. All transportation changes need to go through the front office.

We'll see you Thursday night!
