This week was the book fair, and so many of you supported us, exploring books with your students. I had three Principals for the Day Monday, and these students helped me plan the upcoming dance and run school wide assemblies. In PE, students are learning to serve a volleyball and jump rope. Kindergarten took an amazing field trip to explore many locations around Oxford, including the sheriff's department, a yoga studio, and an ice cream shop. We met community helpers and learned how we can be a part of our town. It is also fire safety week, and we learned how to stay safe in emergencies.
The global competency for October is flexibility, and we put that into practice on Thursday when the power went out. Thank you for your patience with dismissal and bus delays as we made adjustments. We cancelled out Title I Night and will reschedule for October 28th from 4:00-6:00. Please plan to join us!
