West Oxford Owl for October 24, 2025

It is hard to believe that we had first quarter conferences already! Thank you so much for coming out and learning about your child's progress. We value your partnership in helping your students grow, and we love to share ways to support them at home.

Third, fourth, and fifth grade students will take the NC Check Ins on Tuesday and Thursday this week. Please encourage them to get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast.

Our rescheduled Title I Night is October 28th from 4:00-6:00. Come out and explore curriculum and culture with us!

We will have a spirit week for Red Ribbon week next week. Wear red on Monday for Red Ribbon Week! Tuesday is twin day. Wednesday we give drugs the boot by dressing in Western gear. Thursday we will wear pajamas to remind us to follow our dreams. On Friday, we say boo to drugs. Dress in a school appropriate Halloween costume- no masks or weapons please!

Our Fall Festival is November 7th! Mark your calendars! We are looking for donations of homemade cakes for the silent auction, store bought treats for the cake walk, and small prizes for bingo. We would love volunteers to work that night. Please reach out to Ashley Hart, PTO president at westoxfordelempto@gmail.com. Fall Festival tickets go on sale Monday!

Every student has a reading log. Please make sure that you are reading and documenting what you read every night!
