Granville County Board of Education Regular Meeting

NOTICE TO PUBLIC AND PRESS

The Granville County Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 6:00pm at the Mary Potter Center for Education, 200 Taylor Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
Members of the public are invited to view the open session via livestream. To join the livestream meeting, please use the following link: https://live.myvrspot.com/st?cid=MDhkZj.
Public comments for this meeting can be made in person at the Board Meeting, or in writing by using the following link: https://tinyurl.com/y37evl6z. Comments made using the link must be submitted between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on August 5, 2025. A copy will be distributed to the Board of Education members. A maximum of 30 minutes in total will be allotted for public comment.

Metal Detectors will be in use upon entry to the building. No bags will be permitted in the building.

West Oxford Owl for July 25, 2025

School starts in two weeks, and we are counting down! This week was Summer Bridge, where our new owls came all week to learn about kindergarten at West Oxford. We had a wonderful time getting to know them this week and can't wait to spend more time with them!

Our Car Show is Saturday, July 26th from 9:00-1:00. We will have food trucks (Two Heifers and Nikki's Treat) and all kinds of fun activities for your family. Come join us!

We are transitioning to Parent Square for all communication. You can download the app to receive regular updates and message with teachers.

Open house is on August 7th from 4:00-7:00. Come out to meet your child's teacher, get transportation information, and pick up dinner from the Tacos Al Vaquero food truck.

The first day of school is August 11th! Doors open at 7:20. We'll see you soon!
