West Oxford Owl for September 19, 2025

We had a great week at West Oxford celebrating Hispanic Heritage spirit week, hosting the dental clinic, and learning about our Constitution. We hosted All Pro Dad's breakfast for our younger students, and so many of you turned out to learn about respect with your students. Third through fifth grade will have their first All Pro Dad's breakfast on October 14th.

We did our first lockdown drill on Wednesday. Students did an amazing job following directions and remaining quiet in their rooms. We hope that these plans are never needed, but we want to ensure that if they are, we know how to respond.

Our Candyman fundraiser will end on Friday. Please make sure your student sets up their account online so they can earn prizes!

Title I Night is on October 9th from 4:00-6:00. It will be a global celebration, and we want you to join us!

We are starting to talk about field trips, and we would love for you to be able to chaperone. Please fill out the application here: https://www.gcs.k12.nc.us/270686_2.

As the weather changes, please be aware that temperatures in our school building fluctuate from room to room. Please help your student wear layers to school, and help us return missing items by labeling jackets and lunchboxes.
