Dismissal on Ivey Day Rd- Starting Monday!

Parents,

Over the past two weeks, we have received concerns about traffic backing up and near misses on Ivey Day Road during afternoon dismissal.

To help reduce traffic congestion and get vehicles off the roadway more quickly, we will begin using two lanes for afternoon carline pickup.

How the New Carline Will Work

1. Continue to use the designated student pickup spots.
As in the past, the first parents to arrive may pull forward to the outlined student pickup spots.

2. Once the pickup spots are full, begin filling the lanes.

• Fill the LEFT lane first.
• Once the left lane is full, begin filling the RIGHT lane.

3. Staff will release vehicles in this order.

• The LEFT lane will be released first for student pickup.
• The RIGHT lane will then be released.
• After the initial release, staff will work to release both lanes equally and efficiently.

Please Remember

• Keep both lanes as full as possible and avoid leaving unnecessary gaps between vehicles.
• Do not move past the stop line unless directed by a staff member.
• Please follow all staff directions as we work through this transition.
• Most importantly, please be patient and attentive as we adjust to the new process.

Our goal is to reduce the amount of time vehicles are waiting on Ivey Day Road while keeping students, families, and staff safe.
