Our fifth grade took two field trips this week. Students went to the Careers on Wheels event where we were introduced to a wide array of careers from Park Rangers to linemen working in the bucket truck! Their second trip was to Three Bears Acres where we explored early ways of life, creating shelter from sticks, basket weaving, and building a fire!
Hispanic Heritage Month started last week. I loved watching students learn more about different Hispanic cultures in Spanish this week. Students learned to dance the salsa! Our Hispanic Heritage spirit week starts October 5th!
The Scholastic Book Fair is Coming on October 5–10, 2026. It is open to the community on Monday–Friday, 2:45–4:00 p.m.

- Custodian Appreciation Day is October 2nd.
- All Pro Dad's Breakfast is October 6th for fathers of 3rd-5th grade students at 8:00. Please bring breakfast for you and your child.
- Our first school dance is October 9th!
- Fall Festival is November 6th. We are looking for volunteers, and donations of cakes for our silent auction. Please let our PTO know if you can donate cake.

grades, attendance, missing assignments, and academic progress all in one place. Every
Wednesday, an email is sent with information on how to set up your Parent Portal account. Please check your inbox, as well as your
Spam or Junk folder, for this email. If you are not receiving the Wednesday email, please contact the school at
919-693-9161 so we can make sure we have the correct email address and contact information on file.
